About Agros

On March 5, 1968, the Andhra Pradesh State Agro Industries Development Corporation Limited was created with equity involvement from the governments of India and Andhra Pradesh. During the 2000-2010 decade, the mission of this corporation was to turn things around and establish itself as a financially stable firm that could meet its goals of helping the farming community and successfully advancing the state of Andhra Pradesh's agricultural sector.

To achieve sustainability in agriculture and make it economically feasible for farmers, farm mechanisation, organic supply inputs, and so on must be used to generate higher yield and high income, hence boosting the state's food security.

Since its formation, the Corporation has strived to transform several lakhs of acres of barren lands into cultivation with the help of its fleet of earth moving machinery, viz., dozers, excavators, and so on. The corporation currently serves as the Government of Andhra Pradesh's Nodal Agency for farm mechanization activities in the state, deciding on prices for machinery, farm equipment, and other items, vetting suppliers, conducting field visits, hosting exhibitions, and showcasing expensive, contemporary farm equipment at its Permanent Farm Equipment Display Center.
